hockey thoughts
I'm planning on being in Vancouver Christmas week, which this year falls from the 22nd to the 31st.
As a part of the time at home, I'm going to try to get out to see a hockey game. I looked on the Canucks schedule, and found a few games during this time frame:
Sun Dec 23, 2007 - Canucks at Avalanche - 5:00 PM
Thu Dec 27, 2007 - Flames at Canucks - 7:00 PM
Sun Dec 30, 2007 - Ducks at Canucks - 5:00 PM
Mon Dec 31, 2007 - Canucks at Flames - 6:00 PM
Obviously, only the middle two are of interest. So, is the Calgary game, or the Anaheim game, going to be of greater interest? Anyone back home have any ideas?
The Canucks launched a new sweater design a few days ago. At first I was underwhelmed, but now I'm starting to think it's OK. It could be because I'm over here...don't have to see it so often...

It's really hard to tell at this point, since the season hasn't started yet. You'd want to get tickets ahead of time, as most games sellout fairly fast. When in doubt I'd go with the Canadian matchup: facing the Stanley Cup champs could mean a higher chance of being lambasted.
I was actually favouring the Canucks-Flames match-up myself...that might work out nicely!
